Two completely unrelated topics unless you consider that my badminton skills seem to be rather elementary these days.  Al and I just joined the gym again and have been trying to brush up our game.  Seems like we are doing a better job at providing entertainment for our opponents. 

Ekrina started first grade this week - yes, can you believe it-school in July/August?  In California there are year round schools.  Since I grew up in Connecticut I still have a hard time processing the idea that school starts in July.  The school seems great so far with lots of activities and programs for the kids (and volunteer opportunities for the moms and dads of course!) so we are excited.  More importantly Ekrina seems to be excited and enjoying herself as well as learning.

Now I have something fun to do at work.  Think about what to write when I get home.  And think about how great my husband is for creating this site.  yada-yada, etc & good night (ah-hem) morning (2:17 am).

Of course re-reading this I think I have something else to do.  Learn better grammar and writing skills?  Did I mention it was 2:17 am?
