I rented “The Game Plan” from Blockbuster and Saturday turned into Mommy and daughter movie night.  If you have a child that watches the Disney Channel at all I am sure you may have a vague idea of what “The Game Plan” is about.  (It seems as though they advertise the movie during every commercial break.)  But on the off-chance that you do not watch the Disney Channel:  “The Game Plan” is the movie that stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Joe Kingman, a quarterback who finds out that he has an eight-year-old daughter when she shows up at his door.

There’s little in life that I hate quite so much

As sniffles and coughs, high fevers and such

But come that certain time of year

For us this past Sunday

That sneaky bugger, the cold

Decided to have quite a fun-day (er…fun week so far actually)

With fever and headache my daughter did wake

That progressed to a cough that made her chest ache

By Thursday we dropped in at the Doctor’s to see

If anything worse than a simple cold this sickness might be

Good news; pneumonia and bronchitis it’s not

Bad news; it’s that darn everlasting annoying cough that everyone’s got

……and it’s going to last at least one more week!
