An Adventurous Easter
The Villa closed at 5:00 and we finished up at the gift shop around 5:30 and continued our adventure by heading to a famous spot for dinner - Pink’s Hot Dogs.
It took us at least an hour to get to Pink’s and we were greeted by an unexpected surprise - a VERY LONG line. Who knew hot dogs could be so popular? After waiting in line for over an hour we got to place our order. For Ekrina’s Uncle Peter - one Lord of the "Rings" dog (hot dog
covered with barbecue sauce and onion rings), for Albert - one Mullholland Drive Dog (hot dog with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, nacho cheese & bacon), for me - one Rosie O’Donnell Long Island Dog (hot dog topped with mustard, onions, chili and sauerkraut) and for Ekrina - one Nacho Cheese Dog (hot dog topped with nacho cheese).
The hot dogs didn’t disappoint and we left Pink’s feeling satisfied and ready for one more culinary adventure - Pinkberry’s.
Ekrina’s eagle-dessert-spotting-eye happened to note that Pinkberry’s was on the corner immediately prior to turning onto N. La Brea where Pink’s is located. She even abstained from eating half of her nacho cheese dog with the expectation that we would go there for dessert. Pinkberry’s is an upscale frozen yogurt chain that offers three different flavors of frozen yogurt (original - tastes a lot like Vietnamese yogurt, green tea and coffee) with fresh fruit toppings. Ekrina, Albert
and I shared a medium original with coconut, mango and strawberries on top. By the time we finished dessert it was almost 9pm and we were ready to call it a night. We left Los Angeles with our bellies full of hot dogs and frozen yogurt and our new camera full of fun memories.
