Ekrina auditions for School Idol!
Ekrina auditioned today for a school-wide talent show. Poised and determined, she set out practicing this past week on her singing and decided all on her own that she would be performing A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. Last week, Ekrina brought to our attention that she enlisted herself to tryout for this contest and asked for my help to get her vocals back on track (She contracted a bug that has been floating around school and wasn’t able to sing for over two weeks).
Well it turns out that all the effort proved fruitful when she made it to the finals… and just like the tv show, American Idol, she received a finalist number. These were some of the reactions to her audition today:
Who’s that girl?, She sang her heart out, and Wow!
While thankfully, Ekrina did not let this newfound stardom get to her head in excess, one can detect extra confidence and bliss in her nature this evening.
