House M.D. returns from hiatus!
Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) - Head of the Department of Diagnostic medicine with three Fellows that worked for him. He is obnoxious and sarcastic. Seemingly turned that way by both an injury to a muscle in his thigh that causes chronic pain and an ongoing addiction to Vicodin and a rocky relationship with his father.
Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) - The only female on House’s team. She doesn’t like a lot of the tactics that he takes with patients or his lack of sympathy for them. She is what one might typically describe as a bleeding-heart and seems to have a deep-seeded need to help others in order to feel better about herself and her impact on the world.
Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer) - Arguably the least loyal member of House’s team, he proves throughout different seasons that he is mainly out for himself. He is the son of a famous surgeon or doctor and had a very privileged upbringing although there was an estrangement between him and his father and he is determined to make his own way in the world.
Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps) - There are some indications that he is the most highly qualified of all the fellows on House’s team and that he might be able to run his own department one day. His greatest fear is turning into House who he seems to view as someone who doesn’t have any compassion for a patient but merely wants to solve a puzzle.
Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) - She is the Dean of Medicine and manages hospital administration. The bottom line is that she is House’s boss and as blame typically rides up the ladder, she is ultimately responsible for any shenanigans that House or his team pull off under her watch. She does seem to have an unwavering belief in his abilities and will typically back his decisions unless they blatantly place a patient in harms way.
- Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) - He is a doctor of oncology at the same hospital where House works and arguably House’s one true friend. Despite the mistreatment he receives at House’s hand he acts as both a mentor and a sounding board for his troubled colleague.
